About the event
The much-anticipated 4IRinMining Seminar returns in 2025, now expanded into a powerful two-day seminar designed to redefine the future of mining through digital innovation, sustainable practices, and human-centric transformation. Set to take place from 24–25 July 2025 at WITS University, L101 WITS School of Education, Education Campus, Parktown, Johannesburg this year’s event is themed:
“Re-Inventing Mining: Building Competent, Safe & Sustainable Mines of the Future.”
Following overwhelming support from last year’s attendees, who rated the 2024 seminar as "extremely helpful," the 2025 edition promises deeper dialogue and more practical showcases. The expanded format will feature thought leaders, industry veterans, policy makers, researchers, technologists, and future talent across multiple plenary sessions, panel discussions, and tech showcases.
